Easy Cannellini Beans in Spicy Ugly Sauce
Made with Spicy Ugly Sauce
1 lb dried cannellini beans, soak for at least 8 hours (or overnight). If using canned beans, drain and rinse and follow instructions.
2/3 cups room temp water
6-7 fresh sage leaves
1/2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
2 garlic cloves
Sea salt and black pepper to season
1 jar Spicy Ugly Sauce
Add the ev olive oil to a medium saucepan over medium heat. Smash the garlic cloves with the back of a knife and add to the pan with the fresh sage. Fry for one minute then add the spicy Ugly Sauce.
Add a pinch of sea salt and black pepper and let it simmer for 10 minutes. Add water and beans and let it cook down for at least 5 minutes.
Add more sea salt and black pepper to taste, if needed.
