Have I mentioned how much I love this time of year? The summer season brings so much to my garden that I sometimes get overwhelmed by the beauty of it all and every year's harvest seems to change a bit. For example, my tomatoes are becoming available earlier each summer. I'm not complaining since I absolutely love tomatoes (all varieties too) but I have been paying attention and noticed some changes here and there every season since I started gardening years ago. Whatever reasons they may be (and they're certainly not for me to figure out) I will cherish whatever Mother Nature gives me at any given time. Summer's bounty is an annual gift and I am so grateful each season for it all.
Have your garden tomatoes come in early this year too? What do you do with your first tomatoes of the season? I'd love to know. I'm going to throw these cherry tomatoes into a fresh garden salad tonight for dinner. Nothing beats garden fresh dinners. Am I right? Buon appetito!
