Peas. Peas. Peas and more Peas
Peas are one of the first vegetables of the summer season guys. They also have many stages. They're very tender and bright green in color. When they're ripe, they are more plump and ready to cook. They can also be cooked with other vegetables, pastas and even meats which I often cook at home. For instance, I cook a delicious spaghetti dish each summer with potatoes and my garden peas. So so yummy! (Recipe coming soon) Snow peas are available frozen throughout the year in grocery stores, but I prefer to plant them in my garden early spring so they're ready to be picked by early summer. I love to pick them fresh from the plant in my garden (and eat some raw as I pick). It's a beautiful experience! I usually store most of the peas from my garden in my freezer because it yields so many year after year. It's just too much and I never let anything go to waste. I don't believe in wasting food at all! I store whatever I grow in excess in my freezer so me and my family can enjoy the harvest throughout the entire year. Until the next summer season arrives and then I just repeat.
