Two years ago, when we decided to venture into the world of food producing, we went ahead with the intention of jarring the healthiest, tastiest, top quality and most unique tomato sauces available in today's food market. Basically, we set out to help redefine tomato sauce in the USA (Hey, when you got an Italian Nonna on your team, anything's possible in the kitchen). This was the original idea. We debuted at The Brooklyn Local in 2011 with just two products at the time: Nonna's Spicy and Sweet Tomato Sauces and people started to take notice.

Two years later, we've not only achieved our original goal but have surpassed it by adding two more products (Nonna's Spicy Red Pesto & Nonna's Smoky Eggplant Sauce) to our existing Nonna line of unique tomato sauces. Also, by being available in over 40 specialty food stores nationwide and specialty online markets. This growth could have never been fully realized without the help of our biggest critic and most loyal fan: our customers (YOU)! It's because of you we’re still growing and will continue to grow through helpful feedback and your loyal following. We thank you for all your support!

With growth, naturally comes change. And with the New Year comes a new look, new attitude and a new name: City Saucery. A name we strongly feel better describes us as the go-to place for the discerning palate seeking unique, delicious, fresh and healthy options from other tomato sauces found in supermarkets. Same great taste and same bad-ass Nonna, just a different name.

Please browse through our new and improved web site. Whether to shoppe for your next delicious dinner or to check out what we're growing in our organic garden for the coming 2014 season. Whatever you do, make sure to catch future saucery blog posts for new and delicious recipes and stories from a growing modern family business. Join our email list below to get updates on new stores, markets and products coming soon.

Big leaps forward are always a challenge, but with your continued support this is definitely a step in the right direction for a small NYC company still trying to get it just right. Here's to a great year ahead folks!

Buon appetito!

Michael, Jorge and Nonna
